No matter where you are in life, be empowered to know that you can make a decision to transform your life. It may take a little discipline, hard work and time to achieve the transformation you’d like to see but it is possible. You can do it! ✦
Here are 5 ways to transform your life
1. Prioritizing what matters
Take a look at your schedule. Does it look like your schedule reflects what matters to you? Or do you have a bunch of “events” to do that aren’t a high priority on your list? Don’t waste your time doing things that don’t make you happy. Adjust your schedule to reflect what brings you joy.

2. Be kind to others
Kindness is one of the best qualities in a human being, in my opinion. Being kind to others doesn’t require a lot of work or money, just a good heart and time out of your busy day. Being kind to others not only will change others’ lives but yours as well.

3. Start dream-doing
I believe that every single person has a dream in their heart. Some are taking action to fulfill their dreams, while others are stuck fulfilling other people’s dreams. Which boat are you in? If you’re taking action to achieving your dreams, good for you! If you’re not, that’s okay. Start today.

4. Facing your fears
Everyone has fears. You’ve got them and even Beyoncé has them! Usually what we think is scary is magnified in our brain and limits you from doing certain things. Don’t let your fears control your life. Try to expose yourself to your fear and you’ll find that it wasn’t as scary as what you had in mind. Not only does facing your fears grow and transform you as a person, it also boosts your confidence.

5. Love yourself
Most of us would rather be other people. I know I was one of them and yes, there are times when I wish I could be other people. But guess what? There is no one else like you. You have a special quality that only you have in this world. When you’re able to love yourself fully, you’re able to love other people out of the overflow of your heart. This year, make it your mission to radically love yourself.

I'm finally admitting it - I love Alice in Wonderl

I'm finally admitting it - I love Alice in Wonderland. I always thought this movie was so odd and peculiar.
I remember listening to the audiobook on LibroVox 9 years ago while I was working at my first design job. This story had something in it that I was grasping to figure out. I kept on coming back to its story over the years and trying to figure out its application in my life.

I've watched most of the Alice in Wonderland movie versions. There are quite a few. All versions of this story are weird. The book. The original movie. The Disney cartoon. A few months ago, I sat down to watch the 2010 version with Mia Wasikowska and Johnny Depp. It has become one of my favorite movies, and I've been watching it ALL. THE. TIME!

This quote especially has hit home for me:
ALICE: From the moment I fell down that rabbit hole I've been told where I must go and who I must be. I've been shrunk, stretched, scratched, and stuffed into a teapot. I've been accused of being Alice and of not being Alice but this is my dream. I'll decide where it goes from here.
BAYARD: If you diverge from the path…
ALICE: I make the path!

This is the moment Alice finally decided who she is. She had been questioned regarding her identity and pushed to her limits. She had been told what to do repeated without being asked if it was something she wanted. Enough was enough.
This time she took charge of her dreams and decided to make the path instead of letting someone else dictate the path. Alice stepped into the identity that she destined to become - a decisive, strong, grounded and powerful individual.

I am Alice. I've been following my white rabbit that led me to my Wonderland. It has been a crazy adventure, but one that I'm so happy I'm taking. I have found that making the path is the only way; no one else can create your path, it is something you have to do on your own.
